Budapest November 1944 Für 30 Filler in die Hauptkampflinie! Hinter dem starken Speergürtel, den deutsche und ungarische Einheiten um die Hauptstadt Budapest gelegt haben, geht das Leben unbehindert weiter. Nur wenige Kilometer von der Stadt entfernt zieht sich die Hauptkampflinie entlang, an der sich die Bolschwisten immer wieder blutige Köpfe holen. Mit der normal verkehrenden Strassenbahn kann man bis zu den rückwärtigen Posten der Sicherungslinie fahren, ein Zustand, der wohl einmalig in der Geschichte dieses Krieges ist. Mit der Panzerfaust bewaffnet, warten Grenadiere neben Zivilisten an der Haltestelle. SS-PK- F. Fritsch
