Part of IWM Duxford, dedicated to the American air forces based in Britain during World War II. The **8th Air Force** flew the daylight strategic bombing campaign against Germany from 1942 to 1945, and the collection includes B-17 Flying Fortresses, B-24 Liberators, and P-51 Mustangs, alongside the stories of the more than 26,000 American airmen who died in the campaign.
