ALG A-11 Saint-Langis-lès-Mortagne

USAAF Advanced Landing Ground established near Saint-Langis-lès-Mortagne in the Orne department as Allied forces advanced south through Normandy. Located in the Perche region well south of the original beachhead, this ALG reflects the rapid pace of the post-breakout advance in August 1944, as Aviation Engineers leapfrogged the frontline to maintain close air support.
