USAAF Advanced Landing Ground at Cretteville, Manche, in the central Cotentin Peninsula. Built to support operations in the sector south of Cherbourg following the port's capture on 26 June 1944. Part of the growing tactical air network that allowed IX Tactical Air Command to maintain near-continuous air cover over the front.
