ALG A-15 Maupertus (Cherbourg)

Pre-war Cherbourg aerodrome at Maupertus-sur-Mer, captured and repaired by USAAF Aviation Engineers after the fall of Cherbourg (26 June 1944). Unlike the temporary PSP strips, Maupertus had a permanent pre-war runway and became one of the most capable ALGs in the network. The site is today Manche Airport (Cherbourg–Maupertus), still operational.
