ALG A-7 Azeville

USAAF Advanced Landing Ground near Azeville, constructed shortly after the capture of the German coastal battery at Azeville (June 9, 1944). Situated in the northern Cotentin Peninsula close to Sainte-Mère-Église, it supported the push northward to capture Cherbourg. The nearby Azeville battery museum documents the German defences that preceded the airfield.
