Batterie Todt

Audinghen, FR

The largest German coastal battery on French soil, located at Cap Gris-Nez with four **380mm naval guns** capable of firing on the English coast 34 km away. The battery was repeatedly bombed by the RAF and USAAF and captured by the Canadian **2nd Infantry Division** in September 1944. One original casemate — the size of a city block — houses the **Musée du Mur de l'Atlantique** with original vehicles and equipment.
