Battle of Britain Bunker

Uxbridge, GB

The underground operations room of **No. 11 Group RAF** that directed the defense of southeast England during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Winston Churchill watched the battle unfold here from the gallery on September 15, 1940 — a day he later described as the most memorable of his life — and the room remains preserved exactly as it was during the fighting.
