A German artillery battery at Brecourt Manor estate, silenced on the morning of D-Day by Lt. Richard Winters and twelve men of **Easy Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division**. The assault — destroying four 105mm howitzers that were targeting Utah Beach — is studied at West Point as a model of small-unit tactics and was immortalized in the HBO series *Band of Brothers*.
