December 44 Museum

La Gleize, BE

Built around the German **King Tiger tank** abandoned by SS-Obersturmbannführer Joachim Peiper's combat group in La Gleize on December 24, 1944, when their fuel ran out during the withdrawal. The museum tells the story of **Kampfgruppe Peiper**, one of the most feared armored formations of the Ardennes offensive.
