A vast hemispherical bunker near Saint-Omer built as a storage and launch facility for **V-2 ballistic missiles**, intended to deliver 36 rockets per day against London. RAF bombing in 1944 halted construction before the facility became operational. The bunker now houses a major museum covering the V-weapons program, the occupation of northern France, and the conquest of space.
