Longues-sur-Mer Battery
Longues-sur-Mer, FR
One of the best-preserved German coastal artillery batteries in Normandy, with four **150mm naval guns** in open casemates that exchanged fire with Allied warships on D-Day before being silenced. Two of the four gun barrels survive largely intact, making Longues-sur-Mer one of the most atmospheric Atlantic Wall sites on the Normandy coast. The cliff-top fire control bunker also remains in excellent condition.
