Mardasson Memorial

Bastogne, BE

A star-shaped memorial erected in 1950 to honor **76,890 American soldiers** killed or wounded during the Battle of the Bulge. The names of all 48 American states are carved into the stone, and a crypt beneath the monument houses three Christian chapels and one Jewish chapel.
