An underground factory carved into the Kohnstein hill near Nordhausen that produced **V-1 flying bombs** and **V-2 rockets** using concentration camp labor from the adjacent **Dora** camp. Between 1943 and April 1945, approximately 60,000 prisoners worked in the tunnels; an estimated 20,000 died from brutal conditions. The facility produced roughly 5,000 V-2s — approximately 75% of total wartime production.
