Mulberry Harbour Arromanches

The prefabricated temporary harbor (Mulberry B) assembled off Arromanches following D-Day, consisting of concrete caissons, floating roadways, and pierheads that enabled unloading of supplies directly onto the beaches. Over **2.5 million men, 500,000 vehicles, and 4 million tons of supplies** passed through Mulberry B between June and November 1944. Rusting concrete caissons remain visible offshore to this day.
