ORP Orzeł Memorial
Pomerania, PL
Memorial to the Polish submarine ORP Orzeł (Eagle), which famously escaped German-occupied Tallinn in September 1939 without navigation charts or periscopes to reach Britain. She sank a German troopship and participated in Allied patrols before disappearing with all 60 hands in May 1940. One of the most celebrated vessels in Polish naval history.
