Pawiak Prison Museum
Masovia, PL
Between 1939 and 1944, the German-run Pawiak prison held over 100,000 Polish political prisoners. Approximately 37,000 were executed on site or nearby; tens of thousands more were deported to concentration camps. The ruins and a preserved cell block now serve as a museum dedicated to the victims.
