Pegasus Memorial
Ranville, FR
A museum in Bénouville dedicated to the glider assault by British paratroopers of the **6th Airborne Division** on the swing bridge over the Caen Canal on the night of June 5, 1944 — the first ground action of D-Day. The bridge was captured in six minutes and renamed **Pegasus Bridge** after the division's insignia; the original bridge structure is part of the museum's exhibition.
