Contains 974 Commonwealth soldiers who fell during **Operation Plunder** — the Rhine crossing by the British **21st Army Group** on the night of March 23–24, 1945. Maintained by the **Commonwealth War Graves Commission**, the cemetery lies on the eastern bank of the Rhine near one of the main crossing points used by British and Canadian forces.
