Treblinka Extermination Camp Memorial
Masovia, PL
Nazi German extermination camp operating July 1942 – November 1943. Approximately 700,000–900,000 Jews were murdered in gas chambers — the second-highest death toll of any Holocaust site after Auschwitz-Birkenau. The Germans destroyed the camp; today 17,000 symbolic stones mark the burial grounds. Site of the August 1943 prisoner revolt.
